I am going to BMCC for this semester only because no other school had a better schedule, I work full time. I'm taking Intro Anthropology, Intro Sociology, and Anatomy and Physiology 1. AWFUL school and poor quality education and the clientel and other students who attend are literal animals with close minds, are ignorant, ghetto, severely uneducated, immature, loud, ridiculous, should I even go on? I thought I'd learn about so much in Sociology but all we ever talk about is race and racism and how Obama needs to be reelected and social stratification in the USA - that's not all that Sociology is. It's so skewed. I'm so sick of hearing everyone's ridiculous opinions and comments that are so unbelievably stupid that I have to sit in my desk and take deep deep breaths to calm myself down…such as marijuana cures cancer that's why it should be legal (huh?) the War on Drugs of the 70s was purposely created to incarcerate blacks, AIDS was invented by the US to kill blacks, and blacks are always targeted by cops and white men never get arrested, and blacks are at a higher risk for heart disease due to racism, (no, not due to lifestyle or diet, of course not), because dealing with racism on a daily basis causes stress and then heart disease. I have never heard such stupid things in my life. I was really looking forward to being in these classes but the quality of the material is so low. I feel like I'm in 13th grade. I am not challenged at all and the students, who burp in class, come in late all the time, fall asleep and leave early, snap their tongues, and act like guests on the Ricki Lake show. Can you tell I hate it here? I will not be returning here next semester, not sure where I can take classes though because I work full time but I would rather NOT go back here. Another thing that annoyed me is that you need to show your school ID to get into the building past security and I never got a school ID, why, because the ID office was only open twice a week from 9-5 well guess what I work 9-5 so every single time I went to school I had to sign in with security because I couldn't get an ID. DON'T GO HERE if you actually want to learn something and be amongst INTELLIGENT people. I felt like I was the only one with a brain most of the time. Some of the people in my Anatomy class couldn't even speak English and the teacher could never understand what they were saying and they would ask the same questions over and over and over again. I couldn't believe they were trying to get into a nursing program. Anyway this is long enough hope you all get my point.
