Shortly after arriving to Pullman, I realized that would only be a dream. Stepping onto campus is like stepping back into high school, except on larger scale. This time around, you're stuck with 10,000 former jocks and prom queens. As a whole, the students are aloof, unfriendly, unapproachable, and self-absorbed. Out of fear of not being "cool", the student body is largely void of any personality…Save for the rude tones! Even the RA's and student leaders only possess a fake politeness; They'd rather not have anything to do with you. The professors are interested only in research, assigning homework through 3rd party websites, where you have to pay an extra fee, and issuing multiple choice tests (talk about LAZY!) that don't truly gage your understanding of the material. If you're a girl, don't even think about having a sense of humor, or personality for that matter! I was much happier with my education and experience at community college. Unless you want to relive your high school days in a superficial, sport-centered, drunken purgatory, save your money ( and happiness) and go elsewhere! |
