I had a mixed experience at the school, both good and bad and I managed to tough it out.

The Pluses:

  • shuttle service around campus so I would not get ran over by careless students.
  • advocacy from DSS
  • Some good professors
  • the campus was nice and so is the basketball arena
  • snacks during finals week
  • a few professors that understood my disability
  • Many different venues around campus, such as the theater, the concert hall, the Pyramid, Japanese Gardens, etc.
  • The city has a lot of things for people to do
  • Good advisers that can help me decide what class/professor I should have
  • The Minuses:

  • Some of the people do not speak very good English, so it is hard to ask, for example, when applying or all over campus.
  • Too many people and not enough classes
  • People who study on the weekends
  • People just being flat out rude
  • Some professors are very insensitive
  • Studying in the library becomes an inapporpriate chit-chat session
  • The parking
  • A lack of supervision when the k-12 schools visit here
  • Trying to get into the university and be given a run around
  • Overall, I would give the school a 6.5 out of 10 and there are some things that need to improve to better the quality for me and other students.
