I've had it all. They've been informative, inspirational, sadistic, apathetic, condescending, funny. For the most part, you'll get something out of it. For better or worse. Social (The juicier stuff) - I was a commuter so I can't say a whole lot of good about the student life. You can't talk to anyone, especially girls, without their stupid "go away, creeper" defense mechanisms being thrown at you. I didn't really make a lot of friends here just because I wanted to say hello to new people. I hated it. Most of the ones who were/are my friends came from schools I had previously attended with. There's my silver lining. Population-wise, it's pretty diverse. Every race and religion is present. It's pretty safe around here with public safety running things.Overall (as far as my experience is concerned), I'd advise against gong here if you wanna meet new people. A lot of students are just unto themselves. They'll admit it too. If you're the cubby-hole type, then by all means go for it. Rider just turned out not to be my type of school in the social aspect. Got a degree though…heh. |
