New Paltz is a wonderful school. I decided to attend at the last minute, and I am glad I did. I'm an education major, and if you are looking for a top notch education program, you will get it at New Paltz. The School of Education building just received a multi-million dollar renovation that will enhance learning. The campus and town are beautiful, and there is a lot of things to do (especially if you like nature)… rockclimbing, hiking, etc. While the food on-campus is not the greatest, there is a selection of places to get food on campus, but if you get the munchies at 1am, don't expect to find anything open. Selection is not the best on the weekends or late at night (half the food venues are closed then, and all are closed after midnight). Overall, my experience at New Paltz for the past 3 years has been GREAT. The faculty are outstanding and incredibly helpful. Education is a lot of work, but you will learn A LOT and will be able to use it in student teaching & in the future. I hate the idea that I will be graduating next year. I will miss this place for sure. |
