First job interview I had, I told the interviewer I dropped out of EE and became a math major. He told me, Too bad you didn't stay in EE.People at work are graduates of biology and microbiology at UNH. Life Sciences seems to be respected, but not math. I took physics and hated it, but enjoyed math. The physics professors could barely dress themselves. Wearing plaid with plaid and displaying their photo in the hall to identify themselves - wow.I met a woman from my undergrad class who was working at a supermarket as a cashier recently.One close relative attended business school and did well. My relatives from New Hampshire didn't attend UNH. Maybe because I got a math degree and couldn't find work. |
