Talk to other people in the same major as you who have taken more classes than you and get their opinion. Half of the teachers are very intelligent, polite, and very helpful. On the other hand, half of the teachers are extremely arrogant, hard to understand, seem angered when you ask them to clarify, and/or just don't care (seems like they are there to get their check and leave). Curriculum (Computer Science): Although there are several very important concepts you learn in most of the classes, there seems to be almost no real world connection of how to apply/connect those concepts for a full-scale real-world project (most classes). They only teach you the syntax/grammar of a couple select languages.I will graduate at the end of this coming semester (Dec 2012) and I feel as though my time/money could have been better spent, however, this is just the case with Computer Science (I have heard great things from other majors regarding curriculum). |
