Some of the coursework at the college is quite challenging while much of some classes is made up of busy work. I do not like how the administration and some students bash the sister colleges of MBBC and label every state university in the nation as "evil and pagan" places. I found that what some of the deans say does not match up with what they do. When I attended this college I did not feel I was being prepared for a career; rather, I was being forced into a cookie cutter Fundamental Baptist mindset. Although there are some good qualities to this college, such as regional accreditation and some caring faculty, I decided to transfer to a state university. So many people complain about the rules while others gladly accept them. The rules should be a unifying component of the college, but too many overstep the rules by making following some of the petty rules at MBBC as a marker of spiritual maturity. While attending this college, I felt I had stepped into a Christian high school instead of entering an institution of higher learning. I would encourage anyone interested in this college to visit first. |
