The school works hard to develop the individual and encourages the individual to use the skills to help society. I feel like I grew up a lot in the four years. Milwaukee is a fun city with plenty for everyone. The basketball games are a big deal in the winter and of course The Brewers and the night life are also great. I had a very positive experience and made a lot of life long friends. I did put a lot into it and got a lot out of it. I think that made a big difference. Marquette is not a commuter school and that is why I think it has a sense of community that other city schools do not have. Some things worth noting,it is a city school so you have to have a certain tolerance for imperfection and diversity. Also to I think an upper middle class sensibility is necessary to get the most out of the school. I came from that kind of background and it was pretty easy to fit in and make friends. |
