This two-year school offers opportunities for those who may not be able to afford or attend a better 4-year state school. It is a jumping pad to get somewhere else. GPC has given me opportunities that other schools would not have. The online program is extensive and the honors program is pretty good. I have had my fair share of really good teachers and really bad teachers - you have to be careful when you choose. Students are generally either extremely motivated or pretty much broken spirited. Know that at GPC you will have to take control of your own education because the advising staff and other staff (financial aid, etc.) doesn't help very much (at all… sometimes they can be a pain). If you are not self motivated you will miss out on opportunities. The social life is improving at GPC as the student life center is initiating more free fun events. There are not many extracurriculars. Learning resources provided are extensive. There are several tens of thousands of people at this school, so you will have to work very hard to stand out and not become a statistic. |
