Nicholls is a nice, small public university. You might not get all the same amenities you would at a private college or even at a larger public university; however, you also don't have the same high price tag and large student debt after graduation that comes with those extras. That being said, Nicholls has done a lot recently to update the campus housing, university buildings, and has even added a new student rec center. The student to professor ratio is great, which means you can easily ask questions and get extra help if you need it. Like any college, you are going to get out of it what you put in to it. You would be unhappy at any school if you didn't get involved in extracurricular social activities. Even though the Thibodaux community is small, it has everything you need to be comfortable and enjoy your college experience. The people there are extremely friendly and treat you like family. I thoroughly enjoyed my college experience at Nicholls, and would highly recommend it to anyone interested in attending.
