Okay, I'm currently a sophomore here at UA and am filling out my transfer papers for next fall…

Freshmen year was OK, it was all new and exciting and people seemed friendly and everyone was grand. However, the shift in attitude seemed to occur over the summer, or maybe kids just became more comfortable. Now, all the Long Islanders are fitting their stereotypes as being rude, closeminded, and dumb. I have a hard time understanding how half of the students have made it this far.

Also, yes partying is grand. But news flash- you're paying $18k + a year. I'm shocked that kids are still ammused by blacking out three times a week. There's nothing to do on the weekends if you aren't drinking excessively or smoking weed in your room till you're busted. The student body is disappointing. Everyone is rude and self-absorbed.

Classes are okay, it's what you make of it. It's college, not high school. In most classes you WILL have to study for class. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news.

Overall, don't come here. It's a waste of time and very few students care about anything substantial. Like shallow people? Great! Apply here.
