UCF isn't for everyone. I felt like every time I expressed my desire to transfer elsewhere, my friends and other students would get offended. The students claim to be open-minded but are only fond of others who express the same opinions and beliefs as them.

The school itself isn't terrible, but many areas need work. I have yet to come across a rude, condescending professor. Most of the professors I've had are very knowledgeable and willing to help. The small percentage of them, while they were nice and caring, had to work on presenting lectures and answers to questions. One thing UCF strongly needs to pay attention to is the financial aid office. I have hopelessly visited the office numerous times and have had no help at all from these people who didn't seem to know what they were doing; it was extremely frustrating. The school is also too crowded. It has surpassed 60,000 students this year and the number seems to be growing. No wonder everyone complains about not being able to register for certain classes they need.

UCF just is not the school for me. I have had a sour experience with the environment I was in. If you are a reserved person with cultural interests, this may not be the place for you; you'll feel like a fish out of water. Almost every student I have approached or been approached by has been very rude, obnoxious, and arrogant; a lot of them are not very intelligent. I question how some of these people even got accepted into a university. One of the clubs I was interested in joining had me think twice; certain people in the club made me feel unwelcome into my own culture. I am transferring to NYU next year, but I am glad my professors and counselor have actually kept me sane enough to earn good grades to prepare me for the transfer process.
