The quality of education that I experienced at Mississippi State University, particularly in my field of architecture, was very good. Having such a diverse, devoted and accomplished faculty really helped to motivate me a great deal. The most important thing about any college education is you get out of it what you put into it.

When comparing the education I received at MSU to that of my fellow colleagues who attended other schools, I feel that in most instances I was more prepared for my field coming out of college than they were. That has really given me a leg up and has allowed me to advance more quickly than most in my profession.

My recommendation to current students is to not let the chance at a good education go to waste, or take a back seat to things that are far less important. College parties may be fun and a limited opportunity, but they fall by the wayside in comparison to having a successful career that makes the rest of your adult life more enjoyable.
