Despite the city's attempts at cultivating a Tier 1 status, it's overall subpar compared to other cities like Austin. Honestly, just don't come here. If you're a HS student who slacked off, this is where you'll end up. It's seriously a glorified community college. My biggest problem with this city is that, for the past 4 years I've been here, people have said, "It's an up-and-coming city." Guess what they were saying 10, 20, 30 years ago? Just do a cursory Google search and the dirt will surface. San Antonio has been coming up forever. In 20 years the locals will say the same thing. It's no wonder why most of the graduating classes in the burbs leave San Antonio—it's a city for retirees, slackers, and hoodlums. |
