Pros:

Learning Commons/Writing Center/Tutoring Center/Library are currently FREE and your resources, I have only used the ones at Dale Mabry and Ybor City campus so far—they are great. Free tutoring? Yes! Don't make excuses, they have very good hours, you can usually find time between jobs/classes/kids etc. where you can go get help.

There are students from different backgrounds and stages of life with the common goal of learning/getting that degree to have a better life.

5 campuses throughout the Tampa area/ability to take courses at whichever campus or multiple campuses in the same term.

Diversity of cultures, nationalities, races, socioeconomic statuses, family situations, and life perspectives.

Also each campus is different so you can find a campus where you feel at home: YBOR CITY Campus in Tampa's historic Latin Quarter, Dale Mabry Campus, Brandon Campus, Southshore Campus, and Plant City Campus.

Majority of classmates are motivated, friendly, and want to learn/share their experience and ideas.

Majority of professors are professional, helpful, reasonable, and passionate about what they teach! (always check rate my professor before registering for warnings)

Dale Mabry campus has a new food court style cafeteria area, it was under construction and finally finished, lots of options to eat.

Ybor City campus in in YBOR city, with all its food options and activities.

Cons:

There are many long lines, especially at peak times—just plan accordingly and try to accomplish things online.

You might run into a professor or other HCC employee who gives an attitude/does not work to solve any of your problems (this isn't unique to HCC).

Some courses/professors are better quality than others (check rate my professor or ask classmates or good professors you already know for recommendations)
