But don't even THINK of bringing a car here. You have to either live on campus or within walking distance. Parking permits are hundreds of dollars and not even half the students are guaranteed a spot. On top of that, those without permits (or who can't find spots) are forced to park in the surrounding neighborhood, leading to nearly 3/4 mile walk to school. Think of doing that in -13 wind chill days. Frostbite, anyone? The school is pushing to put more stop signs in the 'parking neighborhood' instead of putting up a freaking parking garage. They also just spent about 30 million dollars on a new student center and they're building a new education center. Both things they did not need. Did I mention to make these new buildings they cut on-campus parking by 40%? |
