Pepperdine IS NOT for everyone. However, many of the reviews are WAY OFF BASE! Look, yes this school caters to high-end and often foreign students. My roomate my first semester was the Prince of a small country. He drove a Ferrari and was the best guy. Though I came from Greenwich, CT and an affluent family, I was POOR in comparison to many at Pep. BUT…these people aren't snobby, or unfriendly. They grew up with money and don't really care about it. It means little to them. 90% were kind and fun. The people at Pepperdine made the school. Malibu was beautiful though quiet. The Church of Christ stuff wasn't shoved down my throat. And frankly, the dry campus probably saved me from boozing away my college years. Dont get me wrong, I partied more than I should have. Just not on campus. My degree from Pepperdine has taken me everywhere I have wanted to go. If I had to do it all over - I wouldn't have changed a thing. |
