It's extremely difficult to build friendships if you're not involved in greek life. The campus is surrounded by farmland and that's basically it. The only nice thing is having Newport 20 minutes away and Providence 30 minutes away. I had tons of friends in high school and loved to have fun but nothing good goes on here on the weekends. Many of the frats are known for taking advantage of girls and filled with disgusting pigs. If anyone ever askes you to go to clamjammers, just say no. Most parties are off-campus which can be a 20 minute ride so unless you're willing to pay 50 dollars for a cab, you're out of luck. The campus is basically one huge hill which is horrible to deal with in the snowy New England weather. School spirit here is minimum and the football team didn't win a game all year. Going to the men's basketball games is one of the few good things about this school. Academically, the school is alright. But it's living here which makes it unbearable. |
