Drew University 100% helped me achieve the goals I had set out for myself. I wanted a great group of friends, great professors, small classes, internships in Manhattan and on campus, study abroad options, interesting classes, and a beautiful, historical campus and Drew met all of those qualifications above and beyond. College is what you make it, and many people expect college to come to them, and expect the "college experiences" to come to them, but you have to go out and make friends, participate in class, do the work, and make the effort to obtain the things you "expect" out of college. Drew University offers every student the ability to achieve what they want to achieve, and it is up to the student to work for it, rather than wait for it to come to them. I was a Psych major, Spanish minor, and had an on-campus internship for 3 years, and an external internship in Manhattan the spring semester of my senior year. I graduated on a Saturday and started work the following Monday, and almost 3 years later I am still working in my field of choice. If Drew had not had the internship program I wouldn't have been able to go commute to NYC twice a week for my internship which ultimately led me to my first job out of college. If I didn't have professors who were willing to meet with me at all times of the day, and work with me specifically to help me understand something, I wouldn't have been able to finish my major early and take the time to do an off-campus internship. If Drew didn't have the Drew International Seminars (DIS) I wouldn't have been able to go to Argentina in between semesters (all expenses paid) and all I had to do was pay for the credits which I was able to get a scholarship for. Choosing Drew was one of the best decisions I ever made, and not only did it help me have an amazing college experience, but it set me up to be fully prepared for the work world, gain invaluable friendships, and allow me to meet my husband. Drew is the best and provides students with all of the resources they need in order to succeed.
