Alice Lloyd college is an affordable college that provides a quality education. I have been told by students who have transferred from highly respected universities in the state, that Alice Lloyd College is more difficult and challenging in course work, but due to the small class sizes, it is more personal and one-on-one. The professors are very understanding and will work with the students, and personal tutoring is available upon request. Since nearly all the professors live on campus, it is easy to contact someone at any point in the night. As far as safety goes, students can rest easy at night knowing they are in a wonderful community. I have been a student for 2 years at Alice Lloyd and intend to get a degree and go on to graduate school as well. Thanks to the ALC family, I am able to go to school and work at the same time. I do not have to worry about getting a second job while in college like many students at other colleges do. Through the work study program, I am able to pay for my entire college career without ever having to leave campus! The only complaint I could possibly have is that there is little to do, due to the small size of the surrounding area. However, the extra comfort of knowing by name almost every student in the college makes up for it.

If you want to feel at home away from home and make some excellent friends, have a fun time, while getting a better education, Alice Lloyd College may just be the place for you, too!
