It certainly challenged me and grew me. I am not nor was I ever CoC, but the difference in opinion certainly shaped my thought on the Bible. I enjoyed going to a university that actually did shelter me while I learned. I did not want to go to a 2nd public high school for college with all the partying and stupidity. I decided not to go with the social clubs and found many independently minded students who I loved being with. The rules can be weird at times, but it worked for me. I met my best friends here, including my wife. There are students from all over the world here. The Missions program is good, but not excellent. Professor Monte Cox is really the best professor for missions, but other professors read lectures. The HUT campus is a great place for real world missions training as well. However, I felt as though the ideas were outdated to a certain extent with respect to current missiology.I am currently studying the online IB MBA with Harding to complement my philosophical-type degree with something practical. Harding's business school is very good though. The classes are very challenging. My wife has a business degree from Harding, and she makes way more than I do. I am always amazed at how much she knows about business. |
