The statistics that make this school seem selective and elite are completely false. Basically, they spend all their money and energy on making it seem amazing, rather than allocating those same resources on improving their institution. The campus is falling apart, the food is a very small step above a high school cafeteria, and very little scholarship money is given out. As for academics, many classes are taught in a discussion-based format. This would be wonderful, except it's difficult to have a productive discussion when the overwhelming majority of the student body is rather dim. That's not to say that you can't do well for yourself at Baldwin. But if you are applying here as a traditional student, there's definitely a better option for you. A word to rising PEGs: by all means take the opportunity to attend college early, but transfer out of here! You can sign on for college without chaining yourself to Baldwin. |
