When I entered the VA office, I was met almost as if I was in basic training. Joy is the front desk person in that office and seemed very disgruntled. She barked orders and rolled her eyes when I asked her questions and yes, another 3+ hour wait. When joy told me the wait would be an additional 3 hours after my first 2 hour wait I told her I would rather go to a University with some clout. I mean lets face it, if the VA is paying, its just not worth a week of stress and waiting to get into a Community College that doesn't even have good ratings.Joy replied with, "you'll be paying way more than your GI bill covers and Veterans come here first because Veterans always need special assistance, and Veterans can't get into good four year Universities" etc. Basically it was a 20 minute factless argument with the intention to convey the message that the GI bill won't cover good schools and that veterans lack the mental capacity to attend other schools. Half of the people waiting got up and left with me. Good job Joy. You organization is not worth the GI bill. |
