Although I feel overwhelmed at times, I know I am getting a fantastic education that will foster a lifelong love of learning. Many people here complain about the difficulty, but that is what makes Mines so unique. I'm a transfer student from Rice University in Houston, Texas and the educational quality at Rice cannot compete with Mines. Mines forces you to get out of your comfort zone and think independently to receive an A, whereas Rice gives you an A for showing up to class (major grade inflation)…If all you want out of a college education are good grades, go to a school like Rice. But if you want to challenge your intellectual ability and make a difference in the world…GO TO MINES!!! |
