This school has a very good faculty if you get the right prof. I found my photo tacher to lack the skills to successfully teach a demo during class. Also, the classes did not really present any hallenges to me. In one class it seemed as if we never had to follow the instructions and we completed assignments on our own changing up the rules. Also the school is very small and students are very cliqy and it seems hard to join one clique if you werent already in it. The upper classmen can be very helpful or very hurtful they tend to have that upper classmen attitude of looking down on undergraduates. Social life is awesome around portland but at the school not so much unless you drink or watch anime. Meca has no real athletics or social events for college student beside high school style 90's dance with about 40 kids. Also going to a small art school means dealing with some students that think they are the next picasco. Dealign with aragant artsist can be annoying. I felt like the classes i was taking werent benefiting me in any way. I love Portland just not MECA. I found myself bored with no homewor at this school. |
