I am glad I decided to stay in North Carolina. If you want to go to school next to the beach, go to UNC Wilmington! There, you will get an education that is worth you're money if you are seeking out-of-state schools. If you are a North Carolina resident, stay in North Carolina! Though NC has good schools like UNCW and NC State, Florida also has great state-supported colleges. With that said, if you are an out-of-stater determined to move to Florida, go to FIU, Miami, or UCF, not JU! Everything said below was right, and I had a very similar experience. Because I never had the opportunity to go, I graded this institution to the best of my ability. Here's how I know about this university: I was accepted a few years ago, and went to the student orientation in mid-July which gave me a good insight to how expensive the education is, and how unhelpful the faculty is. No lie! The reason I could'nt go was because of the cost, as I found out at the orientation. The 8 hour drive on I-95 south was a waste of time. I owed roughly 16k, and I had to go back to North Carolina the day after orientation. At the time I was dissapointed, but now I realize what a blessing it was! Thank God I am in North Carolina and not there! In regards to the Naval Science program at JU, everything said about that was true. If you hold an A.A. or A.S. from a community college, you're screwed getting accepted into the NROTC program, with or without a scholarship!
