The campus is by far the prettiest in North Carolina. It's surrounded by beautiful mountains and the trees in the spring/fall are gorgeous! Everyone here is super friendly and I've made tons of great friends. It's very easy to get involved in clubs and intramurals. The surrounding area is kind of dead, but there is a club called Boneshack, a bowling alley, movie theater, camping, fishing, rock climbing, tubbing, white water rafting, and so much more. If none of those sound interesting, there's always something going on, on campus. If you're bored there's volleyball courts, the Cat's Den (arcade), Racquet ball, a very well equipped brand new gym, huge climbing wall, basketball courts, concerts, movies (on campus movie theater), and plenty of parties to choose from at night. If you aren't enjoying yourself here, it's because you aren't taking advantage of all of the opportunities presented. The professors here are all extremely intelligent, approachable, and typically very understanding. I can't say a single bad thing about my experience. Get involved and work hard and you will love everything about Western. Go Cats! |
