However, the cost of credit hours, the values of the school (i.e. removing a park to build more dorms while current dorms aren't filling every year) and the overall requirements for a degree make this school less of a learning institution and more of a business. My overall advisers were useless and had me take classes that I didn't need thus costing me time and money. My department staff were excellent, helpful, and always encouraging. It's too bad this school puts all of its money into ridiculous things like a new indoor stadium and graduate housing when many of its critical components like classrooms and equipment need to be updated and replaced. I don't hate the experience I had at Central, it taught me a lot about higher education institutions and how much the system is broken. I met my husband here, made great friends, and secured a good job after graduations, but if I could do it over… I'd select a school where tuition matches the value of the education. NOT where tuition foots the bill for a new athletic center. |
