Honestly, I have never seen a private school that was this cliquey. The majority of this school's student body is comprised of private school or boarding school grads who come here to extend that experience. The social life is completely lacking and there's absolutely nothing to do on campus if you don't know the right people (i.e. the jocks, the popular girls, the preppy kids) That being said, the academics at the school are excellent which in an irony of sorts seems to be about right considering this is a private school. You get your money's worth in education disregarding a certain tenured Calculus professor, but overall, you can't go wrong with the course offerings here. The professors are great and helpful and the classes are for the most part interesting and engage you in ways you never have thought of before.I really want to like this school more than I do, but the lack of social scene really kills the overall grade for this place. But if you want a good education with an overall steady security that you'll have a job waiting at graduation (Thanks to the great infrastructure at the school) then come here. |
