Tuition is going up but it is still less than most other private colleges. Classes are small and it is easy to get to know your professors. This is helpful because it means they can write you letters of recommendation for jobs or graduate school. You should know that living in Hawaii is expensive and that parts of downtown Honolulu are gross like in any big city. The bus system is good, but it can be crowded. The weather and the food are great though. I am happy I went to HPU and I never regret it. My advice for new students is to get to know your professors, ask lots of questions, go out and enjoy the nature (beaches and mountain trails) and leave time for pau hana. |
