I wish I would've had a review like this when I was picking schools. Fort Lewis is extremely small, and not in a good way. Everyone is extremely cliquey and rude, and it's really hard to make friends. Movies about high school that are exaggerated… that is Fort Lewis. There is absolutely nothing to do: almost no one has a fake (so you can't go to the bars), almost no one throws parties, etc… The dorms are awful. Standard ones don't even have a sink in the room. The nice ones are like normal dorms anywhere else. Besides our cycling team every sport sucks. However, every single athlete thinks they're the s#*t. The meal plans they offer are phenomenal, and the food here is better than most places. You're going to get sick of it, of course, but it could be so much worse. The professors here are incredible. You'll only get one or two that are arrogant jerks that set you up to fail. Expect hippies and immaturity. That's all I'm saying. I transferred after a semester because I was so miserable.
