A lot of times you'll find that the faculty have lied to you about what your options are. Not just misunderstandings but flat out lies to get more money out of you or to get you to graduate faster. Also the teachers tend to ignore your questions and many of the instructors are less qualified than average. I've had professors there who claimed that they were most brilliant in their field yet when they explain their stories they failed at all of it and then came to Edison to teach. To be fair that's not everyone at Edison but it's enough to make me worry. There was a math teacher I had who was corrected on basic pre-algebra by his own students because he legitimately couldn't figure out what he did wrong on the board. The Edison Online program is full of problems as well. Courses advertised as fully online still require physical attendance despite claiming that they don't at the same time. Again to be fair Edison has this last semester made an effort to properly advertise proctored testing and other physical attendance requirements for online courses but it's too soon to tell if those will actually do any good.Don't try to email anyone at Edison, they almost never reply unless you get rude saying that you demand an answer. I've gone weeks without hearing back from my repeated emails until I start chewing people out in the emails and then I get aoh hello, we're happy to helpreply that still often doesn't fully address the issue. The Campus is beautiful but the education sucks. It is not a school I would ever choose to attend and I am getting out of here ASAP. |
