This school is pretty tough work-wise, expect to be challenged, even if you were doing pretty well in your school. I went from a 3.7 overall GPA in high school to a 2.7 my first semester. If you do put in the effort, there's ample opportunities for tutors and study groups available to you. Teacher's are great, and there's lots of experience here that you would definitely not get at other schools not as focused on the environment as we are. My biggest issue with the school is not with the professors or students, but with the administration department. It seems like the entire thing is nothing but a business venture to them, and if you're like me and out of state without parental financial support, expect no pity. The offered loans under Parent PLUS were denied, so I ended up paying for rent, food, and making school payments on my own working part time while attending school full time, despite doing quite a bit outside of classes for the school. I was told I wasn't poor enough for work study at one point as well. Out of state students be warned. |
