The University of North Georgia at Gainesville, formally Gainesville State College, is a great school to go to in order to complete core classes. While the professors may not be overtly friendly, they are usually more than willing to help with academic or personal problems. However, like any other college there are a few professors who clearly could care less about their students, and are more interested in their own scholastic endeavours. The classes themselves are relatively easy, depending on your major, and completing your core classes here is a great way to get your GPA sky high. The school offers very few BA or BS programs which makes transferring almost a given, however with the new merge into the University of North Georgia more programs will be available soon.Campus life is okay, but not suited to me personally. The majority of the campus is Conservative Christian and there are plenty of student clubs for those with similar views, however any other viewpoint is generally unwelcome. The campus is generally diverse in terms of race though. Overall, GSC is a cheap way to boost your GPA before transferring to a bigger school that offers more programs. |
