I chose to come to this school solely for financial reasons because to put it simply, it's cheap here. Especially compared to other colleges. This school however turned out to be so frustrating. My first quarter there they put me as an "out of state" student and were charging me all kinds of fees (FYI i've lived in Los Angeles my entire life). Not to mention the countless times the financial aid office doesn't process papers right. My advice to you is if you are going to the financial aid office always ask for a receipt because more likely than not your problem was not solved and at least you will have proof you tired solving it. My advice is if you got accepted to a better school go to that one and do not let moving out or anything scare you. Or if you choose CSULA just be mentally prepared for a commuter school, no school spirit, and its also rather difficult to make friends here probably because mostly people commute and they just go to class and leave. There are clubs on campus but they are just "meh." The work load is quite a lot in classes because this is a quarter system so there is not much time to slack off. The professors are actually good and very knowledgeable. The business building is quite run down as well. Well this is just from my experience just thought i"d give a heads up! |
