GW is a very good school that is constantly improving (even though the administration's decisions are often questionable). I am very impressed by the quality of education that I am receiving and the DC area affords unparalleled internship opportunities (GW has the highest rate of internships per capita in the country). Some people (both students and professors) are arrogant, but you can definitely find people who are worth getting to know. Overall, I would say that GW is a good school that will probably become a much more internationally recognizable name within the next 10 years. It's not for everyone, but if you are looking for an urban school with strong academics and an extremely political atmosphere, I would definitely recommend applying. Also, despite the high cost, financial aid is pretty good relative to most other private schools (GW doesn't even rank in the top 100 schools nationally in terms of net cost). |
