The schools board of directors are so wrapped around the importance of money they seem to forget about the thoughts, feelings and needs of the students attending their school. The school has wireless internet covering the entire campus but the internet that is provided is the poorest quality available. Houses receive the scraps of the wifi giving students no choice but to go to academic buildings, why internet is not accessible through ethernet cables in houses is because the school would have to spend some of its money.

The food provided by the school is the poorest quality and lacks variety, you find yourself eating the same dried pork or chicken constantly. The terrible food provided by the school is probably also another attempt in saving money.

Campus security is the biggest joke I have seen when comparing to other schools. Lynchburg College has teemed up with the local police force to be there and end social get togethers, "threaten" to through kids in jail, and keep people in check while not being there when they are needed most. Lynchburg police is the most incompetent police force that I have dealt with, when my bike had been stolen from within my house on campus it was like dealing with a cable television customer support line.

Freshman had once been able to have the choice to live in dorms with Upperclassman but now they are forced to live in freshman only dorms isolating them from the rest of the campus and the upperclassman. These freshman dorms are now monitored by video cameras and have police officers patrolling them every few hours.

4 years I have been here I have noticed a decline in overall moral and happiness in the students. The freshman transfer rates have increased greatly over the past years as well as the freshman class are realizing what is behind the curtains earlier. I blame the lack of social life that this school has. The school bans two things the ability to enjoy an alcoholic beverage outside or on the porch of your living area as well as Kegs. Riding the campus of these two things may seem responsible but in reality the school is just attempting to save money when it comes down to paying for it's insurance bills.

I have enjoyed the first 3 years of my college experience as I had joined an organization and that was within Greek Life. If you do not join an organization you are basically no body as this campus is greatly segregated by its different organizations and different sports teams.
