A degree is what you make of it. Prior to attending Bellevue, I got an associate's degree from a tech school. While some lament the lack of transfer-ability of such a degree and claim that it is worthless, I was able to land the type of job I envisioned when I started that program.

Back to Bellevue. . .

I had guessed from the sheer volume of advertisements I have seen from Bellevue that it would be at least a little "diploma mill"-ish. I was correct in that assumption. I took an accelerated course and was not challenged very much at all. I was able to complete all of my coursework over the course of my (1 hour) lunch breaks. I chose not to read any of the material because I could get "A's" without it. It should be noted that I have traditionally been an above-average student and have rarely struggled with school work so keep that in mind if you are using my review to evaluate schools. I have heard little positive in regards to the Kirkpatrick series and most view it as a waste and a shameless money grab. But at the end of the day, I didn't enter the program hoping to learn a whole lot, I simply wanted to buy myself a Bachelor's degree (and the doors that one unlocks) and did exactly that. But a degree is what you make of it. The opportunity to learn is technically there if you feel like it, but most above-average students won't feel challenged in the accelerated courses.

Professors are inconsistent and coursework workload varies wildly from course to course. Sometimes good, sometimes bad. Academic advisors are glorified salesmen and the rest of the support staff have spotty communication at best. Turnover is also an issue (just like any other sales staff), I am on my 3rd academic advisor in less than 2 years. It also seems like no one has any idea what is going on whenever I call.
