Fortis Institute-Erie has got to be one of the worst schools in Pennsylvania. They want you to enroll because they want your money - plain and simple. Admissions will tell you anything to get you in the door for a meeting and to get you to enroll. Since this for-profit school became Fortis, while I was enrolled, I saw the quality of classes drop, qualified and caring teachers leave, and saw unqualified, uncaring, and educationally challenged teachers and advisors try to teach here. Computer equipment is woefully poor quality, and school equipment is often stolen, or damaged so as to be unavailable for required curricula. The library materials are outdated and poorly sorted for classes. The management team - president, vice president, academic dean, advisors (etc) are poorly matched for the job and are simple "yes-men and women." Financial aid representatives also help you to get stipend checks, so many students are here to get "checks" for living expenses to help you while you are in school - adding to your overall debt load once you finish classes. Unfortunately, many students are here to get these stipend checks - and not here to learn. Students are often enrolled that shouldn't be students. The Admissions requirements are often "overlooked" so the school's numbers are higher - unfortunately, that lets people in that shouldn't be students. Admissions representative are there when you are set to graduate and try to get you to sign up for another degree so they can get their "enrollment numbers" up. They also try to get numbers of your friends and family so they can try to enroll them too.

Unfortunately, this school is here to cash in on people that try to better themselves - and in the process, hurts more students than helps them. If you are looking at a school, please -please, don't consider going here.

On the plus side, management changes often here - Michael Euliano, Guy Euliano (the crooks that opened the school in the first place, were removed) and most of the management staff has changed. We are on our 3rd or 4th management changeover - maybe one of these times, we will get a good quality and education minded bunch…but as of right now, they are still bad.
