Huntington University is definitely the type of school where it takes the right person to enjoy. If you're interested in partying or always having lots to do on campus, you're going to be disappointed. There is usually only one party per weekend (often on a Friday night) and it's basically always the same exact people. Getting invited to these parties is pretty hard too, considering they need to be kept low-key to keep people from getting suspended from sports. On the other hand, if you take your faith seriously and you want a friendly environment where everyone cares for each other, Huntington is a perfect fit! The people here are so nice. The first thing you notice during orientation is how easy it is to make friends. Everyone is just so approachable and kind, it's almost overwhelming! The education here is excellent. I couldn't imagine a school where the professors cared more about their students than Huntington. They're always willing to take time and sit down with you after class to help you understand something better. If you have problems with a course, it's also VERY easy to get a tutor for free. The food is pretty standard for college. The Sunday brunches are phenomenal, but otherwise things are pretty average in that regard. The campus is attractive. I won't say I haven't seen better, but it's definitely pretty to look at (especially in the fall). It's small, but very well-kept. Fort Wayne is also only 30 minutes away if you're looking to have some fun on weekends. |
