Do NOT go here if you are an out of state student (except for NJ). This campus is dead every weekend. Most students are from the surrounding areas and go home every weekend (especially those who live in the dorms). The cafeteria barely functions on the weekends (very limited hours and food choices) because nobody is here (expect to be eating the same soggy french fries and sad grilled cheese sandwich most evenings…). You might think to yourself that this downtime every week will allow you extra time to study, but that is not always the case. Places like the library and athletic center also keep limited hours on the weekends so if you want to study, don't be surprised if the library closes at 8. Don't join the pharmacy program here if you are not driven to prove yourself in the face of adversity. While freshman year teachers are mostly welcoming and caring towards new students, many teachers in your time here will feel it is their personal duty to "weed out the unworthy." They will talk about how the quality of students accepted to this school has diminished over the years, but how they have chosen to maintain the same level of scholarship in their class (mind you pharmacy used to be a BS degree…). |
