DO YOUR OWN RESEARCH BEFORE YOU GO TO THIS SCHOOL! IT'S LOTS OF THINGS THEY LEAVE OUT WHEN YOU VISIT AND AT ORIENTATION. Wesley is too expensive. Greedy if you ask me. They were always looking for a way to make money off of us. Definitely not worth it. Most of us got kicked out over "financial issues". I had a scholarship and a grant but still paid over $1000 a month. Regardless of what is said, the campus isn't as sage either. It isn't gated and there are locals who just wander on school grounds. On numerous occassions, I have had friends robbed at gunpoint, jumped and at one time a bunch of neighborhood kids came inside the college center and stole laptops and phones. Shootings occured as well as finding guns in the dorms. The surrounding area is extremely sketchy. A lot of drug activity. There have been plenty of times where my roommate and I have been walking to the store and have been approached by a "Dover Dirty" (a nickname given to the local dirty old men who would say inappropriate things to us while we were walking). Many of the local druglords supply students with drugs to use or sell on and off campus. It's extremely easy to get ANY DRUG at Wesley. Be careful if you're going here. Don't EVER walk around (on or off campus) alone especially at night. You'll basically pay $40k to live in the projects. |
