JOKE OF A SCHOOL!!!!! Transferred here in my sophomore year from WCC. looked like a great school from the outside by after a couple months in…evreything came to the light. To start…NOBODY RETURNS PHONE CALLS/EMAILS. You will have to leave numerous messages and emails for any staff (excluding teachers) to respond to you.They will constantly pass the issue on to another staff member in order to avoid doing any actual work themselves.Financial aid office is pretty much run by students and is a complete mess. I got a different bill from financial aid 8 times throughout 2 semesters and evreytime i called to question what was going on…i was told "clerical error". The school is NOT GOOD FOR TRANSFERS OR COMMUTERS!!!!!!!!!!!!! There is a very nice exercise gym in the student center which would be great for a commuter to use to get in a quick workout inbetween classes.However, there is no locker room. YUP NO LOCKER ROOM!!!!!! students are forced to carry there bags and books from machine to machine and without anyplace to shower…they have no choice but to remain covered in sweat for the rest of the day.They constantly change school policys throughout the semester..forcing students to take classes they Think is a requirement…and then BAM a few weeks into the semester …its no longer needed.As an example…the school use to require students to have a minor.I am senior and was 6 credits shorts for the minor requirement.After searching for hours through the EXTREMELY LIMITED class options…i finally found 2 courses which seemed VERY DIFFICULT but knew i needed them for the REQUIRED MINOR. Classes began January 20th….on January 29th the school changed their policy and no longer required students to have a minor.WHAT?!?!?! so you made me sign up for a really difficult class that now…I DONT EVEN NEED??!?!?!?! THERE IS MANY ISSUES GOING ON AT THIS SCHOOL!!!!!! MANY DEPARTMENT HEADS AND PROFESSORS INCLUDING HEAD OF STUDENT AFFAIRS AND HEAD OF CAREER DEVELOPMENT HAVE ALL LEFT THIS PAST YEAR. THEY ARE SO UNORGANIZED AND THE STAFF IS EXTREMELY RUDE.ALSO—LOCKS ARE BROKEN IN ALMOST ALL OF THE WOMENS BATHROOMS IN 4 DIFF. BUILDINGS ON CAMPUS.THE DOORS SWING OPEN EVEN AFTER YOU LOCK THEM…EXTREME INVASION OF PRIVACY.YOU WOULD THINK A SCHOOL YOU PAY ALMOST 40,000 A YEAR TO GO WOULD FIX IT QUICK! I MEAN ITS A LOCK REPLACEMENT OR EVEN JUST A LITTLE TIGHTENING OF SOME SCREWS! CANT COST MORE THEN $100!!!! I HAVE EMAILED AND COMPLAINED OVER 10 TIMES ABOUT THIS ISSUE AND STILL…NOTHING!!!!!!!! IT MAY NOT SEEM LIKE A BIG DEAL TO MOST PEOPLE…BUT WHEN YOUR PAYING SO MUCH A YEAR…YOU EXPECT LITTLE THINGS LIKE THIS TO BE TAKEN CARE OF. PLEASE RETHINK YOUR DECISION IF YOU DECIDE TO GO HERE!!!! YES THERE ARE SMALL CLASSES AND NICE STUDENTS…BUT THATS ABOUT IT!!! YOU WILL BE SO STRESSED OUT WITH ALL THE OTHER PROBLEMS THEY WILL PUT ON YOU!!!! ABSOLUTE WASTE OF MONEY!!!!! |
