I went to Kettering for a semester and transferred back home. Kettering seemed to work out very well for some people, but unfortunately it was not the right fit for me. For one, the school is VERY difficult. The hardest work I have ever had to do. Being a medical college, they really work students insanely hard and for me, it border line drove me crazy. There really isn't much life to the college either. I was a dorm student, and people were very antisocial and rarely came out of the dorm. On weekends, I literally did nothing but study. It was very dull. The worst part about Kettering for me though, was how competitive it was. Since each program requires acceptance, everyone in the freshmen class is competing against each other. No one wants you to do well, and everyone wants you to fail so they can get into the program rather than you taking their place. It got horribly depressing and the environment was so negative and hateful that it heavily effected my emotional state and I just had to get out. |
