Western is a great school if you take advantage of the programs that it excels in. Such as (but not limited to) Aviation, Engineering, and Business. I see a lot of people complaining here about lack of opportunites after they graduated, but most of whom were art or education majors. Be realistic. I personally graduated from the Haworth College of Business with a BBA in Accountancy and had an internship my whole senior year and multiple job offers before graduation. The teachers in the Accounting program and the Business college in general are amazing. Sometimes, I would wonder why they are teaching at Western at all. I had an Economics professor who taught at UC Berkley, an Accounting professor who is on the State accouting board, a Tax professor who worked for the IRS, an Accounting professor who was an Executive at SBC Global, and the list goes on. If undecided about your major I would consider the business college and specifically the Accountancy program as it is the best program Haworth has to offer. Western is a very good and vastly under-rated school. Work hard and don't drop out like about half of all freshman do. Good luck! |
