Quinnipiac is for a very specific type of student. If you went to Catholic Parochial school (not a prep school), and want to be a physical therapist, an occupational therapist, or physician's assistant (still a professional assistant aka still someone's declared bitch) or Auditor (tho you'll never make partner at a firm from here), go here. If you aspire to anything outside those fields, especially something in a non-math or non-science area, especially media (good media, not some mickey mouse local pamphlet) or are not of the Italian/Irish or Catholic mold, you're wasting your time and your (parents') money. Contrary to popular belief, the group known as "WASPs" are very rare around here. Especially, do not go here if you're Jewish either: less than 6% are (openly) Jewish, and that's less a percentage than at even less diverse schools. There are more blacks here than Jews. If you're Jewish, you're only good as a friend. If you try to be a player, or want to hook up, date, you are fucked. You're condemned to the NJB or JAP stereotype.

The faculty depends on the dept. I was CAS for a bit, and even they know their sector is a joke. Business is very friendly and helpful, and communications is in between.

Girls here are delusional: a lot are out for their husbands, and guys play along, yet the girls seem to miss that. The only guys getting married before a career is established are losers. When you get divorced and bankrupt, the guys who can buy houses, not rent with their parents' money or live at home will have the last laugh. The ones that hookup seem to be mainly into guidos and athletes (who are second rate except hockey/b-ball). Not too diverse although it is rather gay friendly. Housing is a joke: the school spent 150+ million plus to add a second campus and STILL not all students can be housed. No frat houses either, which is fitting because frats/sororities are a lame here. Their "socials" are pretty much forced, the sororoties don't even have them (they just go to frat "brothers'" rented houses) as is everything they do. Oh yes, one of the sororities has a Facebook policewoman.

The average kid who goes here is, well, the average kid from his/her high school who was reasonably popular but not too bright. If this is appealing to you, go here. While kids do like to party, you can go to a school with better parties, more interesting and stimulating people, and get a better job, or be better prepared for your GREs/LSAT/MCAT.
