Sadly, most of Hunter College's accolades and prestige is simply non-existent.

Despite being in the heart of New York City, the actually college itself is fairly run-down and outdated. Classrooms often have broken/missing furniture, desks, and other technologies.

If you're fortunate enough, we'll find a few helpful and understanding professors in your major department, however…more than likely, you'll come across professors (and TAs) whom never answer e-mails, provide incorrect advising, never follow through with office hours.

My main issue with the college is its horrible admissions, advising, and undergraduate support staff. Myself, along with most of my friends were incorrectly advised (some not even advised) about their academics with led to late graduations. Most of these office personnel transfer you from department to department in order to solve an issue, which either never gets resolved, or resolved too late.

Please do yourself a favor and look at the other CUNY schools…
