Some of these comments are insane! I love Slippery Rock! It may not be for everyone as any college would be so if you are considering going here visit first! (like you should any college you're considering anyway…) I am an Exercise Science major. The program is very rigorous and challenging, but it prepares you for grad school or whatever you would like to do. There are so many majors and minors I think anyone could find something they enjoy. I think everyone on campus is friendly, although I do think if you're an Exercise Science major it can be difficult to make friends with classmates sometimes because it is very competitive. Other than that everyone I've talked to is extremely friendly and personable, people of all majors and backgrounds. The town is small and quiet so if you want to go clubbing and have a crazy party atmosphere with huge parties this probably isn't the place for you. There are still parties all around the outskirts of campus though. If you find friends (which should be easy) you should have a blast! On the other hand everything on campus is nice and it is a beautiful campus! Parking isn't the best which is difficult in the winter sometimes, but it's a 5 minute walk max to nearly every building. I think Slippery Rock is great, everyone I know here loves it. Maybe it's not for you, but I wouldn't decide not going here strictly based on the negative comments on this site. Check it out for yourself and make your own opinion of the place!
