To provide some better background, I am a freshman here at CWU. This school is fantastic if you want to get a degree in your major, the faculty/professors make an effort to help you on your way to success. Academically speaking, CWU will give you a good level of challenge where you will not be overwhelmed for the most part. As far as social life and nightlife go, this university is an abysmal failure. There are a few clubs and organizations that can help students get involved, but for the most part, people will stick with their small groups of friends from high school and won't want to branch out to meet other people. Diversity here is nonexistent, 1% of students who attend here will go abroad, and there are few programs to help introverted students feel connected with the rest of the community. In short, if you want a cheap university where the professors will help you pass, this is a fantastic pick. If you want a meaningful social life and you want to make life-long friends, look elsewhere. |
